New Level of Precision  

These new items are easy to add to projects with powerful new tools and features that streamline the design process while offering designers unprecedented control over every detail. The new 3D Grid, which seamlessly aligns with the familiar 2D Grid, enhances precision with its intuitive reference points. Positioning objects precisely in 3D is further enhanced with the new distance guides, which provide measurements to the edges of drawn shapes, and the timesaving Align-to-Grid Button. The new 3D Gizmo, which makes it effortless to place, duplicate, and align objects, also features intuitive controls that adjust as you design: the center of the Gizmo updates to a clickable triangle, cube, or globe when the elevation, scale, or alignment can be adjusted.

Precision is further enhanced with the reimagined new Smart Snaps. Redesigned to be faster and more accurate, Smart Snaps now respond automatically based on the 2D design tool being used. And Angle Snaps can now be set in 5° increments, making it easier than ever to align objects or elements with the grid or other objects in the project.

New Timesaving Shortcuts

Today’s update also includes timesaving new keyboard-based shortcuts and new sliders. The new Shift + Drag instantly duplicates, spaces, and aligns objects, the new “B” shortcut zooms in and focuses on a selected object or shape in 2D and 3D, and the new Dynamic Water Ripples Slider and the Window Opacity Slider as well as the Vip3D Exclusive Filter and Effects Sliders offer instantaneous control.

The design process is further streamlined with a thoughtful new approach to stage order and a refreshed presentation workflow. The merged Pools & Spas as well as Plants & Items make it easier for designers to manage similar design elements and stay focused on the spectacular array of new options. “With the new Accurate Focus Mode,” Nehlich says, “members can expect pixel-perfect focus in Vip3D.” This new mode makes it simple to adjust the camera focal distance and F-stop to achieve truly exceptional results and create absolutely stunning presentations faster than ever before.
